Creede Beadery was originally Lovering’s Bead Loft, which opened above J. Thompson’s Gallery in 2001. It was owned by Jan & John Thompson, and has a great following of bead lovers who come every summer to create great new designs. Jan and John felt the bead business was growing too big for their loft, and Jan wanted to focus more on her passion for pastel drawing, using the loft to teach classes and expand into her own personal studio. On April 23, 2008, the Thompsons sold their beads to Damon & Kiera Gibbons, who in turn have moved the Location up the street to Pappy’s Place; a great historic building offering a wonderful studio space for patrons to use, and continue to create their fine pieces. 

Creede Beadery is a beading studio located in Creede, CO designed to facilitate the creative jewelry designer in you! We offer the tools, basic knowledge and materials needed to inspire the budding beader as well as the experienced professional. We have an assortment of glass, shell, stone, silver, ethnic and vintage beads to choose from. 

Our Winter hours are as follows:          TUE - SAT    12pm to 4pm

This is our sitting fee which covers the cost of tools, workspace, and instruction. Fee covers the whole day.

Adults: $2.00 

Children up to age 16: $1.00

Studio Finishing Fee:  If the customer opts out of finishing their own jewelry after basic instruction, the following fees are applied:

   $5.00/piece for bracelets & Necklaces 

   $2.00/piece for Earrings
